Jereh Provides Adaptable Coiled Tubing Equipment for Global Operations

Coiled tubing unit, reckoned as an all-purpose well service equipment, can perform almost any oil well operation if used correctly, covering workover, stimulation, rigging and so forth.

With almost 20-year experience in R&D and application, Jereh has proved its capacity on serial production of various coiled tubing equipment for global oilfields with differentiated working conditions.

For example, North America market has extremely high expectations when it comes to the diameter and length of coiled tubing, mainly because of super-long horizontal wells in this region. In March, 2019, China's largest coiled tubing unit was delivered to North America, which has the longest coiled tubing string and largest diameter, aiming at making local oil & gas operation more efficient and safer.

By adopting Jereh 140K injector and latest super large reel, over 7,560 meters of coiled tubing string (2.625") can be wound on the reel. Meanwhile, a special chassis is used to carry up to 57 tons of coiled tubing string, suitable for operations like large-displacement fracturing and coiled tubing drilling.

Jereh coiled tubing units are designed to tackle extreme weather conditions, too. In the arctic regions, such as Siberia of Russia, there is a large reserve of high-viscosity oil. High-viscosity and freezing environment with low temperature of -40 did bring more strict  requirements to the equipment.

To help clients cope with extreme conditions, Jereh R&D team went to well sites in arctic region in person for thorough investigation to ensure the excellent performance of equipment. Jereh engineers discussed with the operators, collected over 120 suggestions and came up with solutions regarding to mechanical design, material selection, heat preservation, heating system and operation condition improvement for arctic applications.

Similarly, high temperature environment in the tropical regions also challenges the performance of equipment.

In desert where the temperature could reach 55, Jereh coiled tubing unit is still running stably. Customized for Kuwait client specifically, this unit delivers reliable and excellent desert off-road performance.

Jereh coiled tubing equipment can also adapt to offshore operations. It is known that offshore oil & gas development, especially those for deep-sea oilfields, requires more subsea pipeline built. For this reason, pipeline pre-commissioning is important to help reduce future corrosion, maximize throughput, and extend service life.

The subsea pipeline is washed with glycol conveyed by high-pressure hoses. However, it often comes with issues like low pressure resistance and slow recovering. Facing these challenges, this February, Jereh R&D team together with CNOOC engineers, took detailed analysis and developed the new 3.5'' coiled tubing skid for subsea pipeline pre-commissioning.

In the meanwhile, Jereh has innovated the hydraulic drive as well as electric control system and has reserved the functions of blowout preventers and stripe packers. Therefore, the coiled tubing skid features large diameter, small resistance, low cost, fast pipeline recovery and strong anti-pressure capability.

On the road ahead, Jereh will continue pursuing breakthroughs and excellent product performance while leveraging our strong R&D ability and rich operation experience. It is our commitment to provide global clients with professional and competitive oilfield solutions and help realize safer, cleaner as well as more efficient energy development.
